Here is a way to get the fake eyelash look without the hassle. We also explain how to avoid clumpy mascara.

The False Eyelash Look

After curling your lashes, apply a thin layer of powder.  You can use a blending brush, and some people use baby powder or compact powder.  This powder creates a base that makes your eyelashes appear much fuller.

Apply (2) coats of mascara on both the bottom and the top of the eyelash.  Wait 3-5 minutes between coats or the lashes tend to get clumpy.

When applying make sure to move the wand back and forth while going up.  This makes sure the lashes are covered entirely all the way to the tip.  Check for any gaps.  Use a fine tipped liquid eyeliner to fine-tune and fill in gaps.

How to Fix Clumpy Mascara

Mascara tends to form lumps with time.  To help prevent this, don’t pump your mascara trying to get more out of your wand.  If you do this, you are basically pumping air into the tube causing it to dry out even faster.  Typically mascara should be replaced every 3-4 months, there are ways to extend this shelf-life.

To increase the life of your mascara makeup you can add a drop of visine into the tube, and then rub the wand around inside.  The visine softens the mascara liquid, making it apply as if it were a brand new tube.
